Sheetrock® Brand Acoustical Sealant can be used in full-load bearing, steel-stud partitions (WHI-9-28-78). It boasts 0/0 flame-spread/smoke-developed Surface Burning Characteristics with Underwriters Laboratories. Tested at Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories in accordance with ASTM E90, this product was sound tested and proven to be an integral component in maintaining STC/MTC partition ratings.

Excellent sound-flanking material (supports high STC ratings)
Superior performance as a fire caulk in UL-classified joint systems
Ideal for use in smoke and/or sound assemblies
Meets ASTM C834 specifications for latex sealants
Grade -18°C (0°F) low temperature flexibility, strong bond
Low VOC

Note: The product should not be painted or used with PVC or Plastic pipe.

This sealant achieves all test-verified STC/MTC by sealing gaps in partitions with a long-lasting, resilient, acoustical seal.

Great Experience / AMAZING Customer Service	April 22, 2019

Drywall Tool Depot what a great company, They have been awesome to work with and really went out of their way to assist me. I entered the wrong ship to address on the order so I sent an email within 3 minutes Daniel responded and said not to worry about it he would make the corrections right away, which he did.
If you need drywall supplies or tools this is the only place you should consider using from the pricing to the customer service it does not get any better.

This is great stuff. My customers love it. It is the best acoustical sealant on the market by far. And I have used lots of different ones!

Acoustic sealant	July 18, 2018

While the service of the company was prompt with shipping, etc...some of the canisters were damaged on the back end where the plunger pushes against...this allowed material to flow profusely out of the back of the canister when pressing the caulk gun trigger. This was less than ideal and caused me to throw away two so far. Have not checked them all yet. Otherwise the sealant seems to be good.
